I want a name that is really unpopular. i like Leland. I looked at how the popularity has changed and it has acutally been all over the place. Do you think it will become known to most people soon?
I like Leland too. I don't see it getting popular...so I think you're safe with that one.
I really like the name Alora but i was kinda taken back when i realized the name Laura is in it. Has that ever happened to you?
Hmm I can't think of an instance where something like that happened to me...I always noticed that the Laura sound was in Alora. My husband and I were talking about the name Alora the other day (he LOVES it) and he asked if I thought it would get shortened to Laura/Lora...but I don't think it necessarily would. I know of an Alora, who is always just called Alora.
Would you be happy if someone would get an idea and name their baby after one of your fav names/names from your videos?Maybe it already happened.
Yeah, I've helped a lot of people find the perfect name or middle name for their baby :)
Have you ever seen the 'Your Baby Can Read' commercial? Anyways, they show toddlers reading. And one of them was named Tuesday. What do you think of that?
Yep I've seen those commercials. My brother-in-law bought that for my nephew last year...but I don't think they used it very much. I am definitely not a fan of the name Tuesday.
What are some anagram names? I know what they are, but how many can you think of?
Well I can't think of that many off the top of my head, but I've looked through the HUGE list that behindthename.com has and it's pretty impressive!!
http://www.behindthename.com/anagram/
I'm thinking of maybe naming a future (female) dog Tessa, Fleur or Hermione. What do you think?
I think they're all good. I heard that dogs respond best to 2 syllable names, so I'd go with Tessa :)
Is chance a unisex name because i really like if for a girl's middle name?
I haven't heard of it used on a girl before, but girls are being named all sorts of boy names. I can see Chance being a unisex name. If you like it, I say go for it... especially in a middle name position ;)
What do you think about the names Chanel?
Chanel sounds like she would be a spoiled kid from a rich family. It sounds pretentious to me... However, I once met a REALLY cute baby named Chanel and her twin brother Chase...and they actually were from a really rich family! lol
Did you know that Christopher was once used for a girl?
Doesn't surprise me unfortunately. I've heard of baby girls being named James, Michael and all sorts of other boys names...
Do you think Aphrodite is unusable? (Afro-dye-tee) the goddess of love and beauty
Yeah I don't think it's usable.
How do you pronounce Nevaeh. And why do you hate it so much.
na-VAY-uh. I just think it looks silly, and that it doesn't even look like a name. It seems tacky to me. And to top it off, people are now giving their children this name with different spellings, like Navaeh...which defeats the whole purpose of the heaven-spelled-backwards thing to begin with!
Did you have a word in naming your sister when she was born?
I wanted to name her Lisa-Marie, but they named her Shaelyn Marie...so they kept the Marie part, but for a middle name.
The name I wanna give my daughter is the 153rd in popularity. Is that bad?My second choice is the 485th, but I love the first one so much more!On the other hand I don't to her to have anyone else in her class with the same name.Thoughts?
I think you're pretty safe if you stay out of the top 100. I think you should use the name if you love it...it's not like it's Emma or anything :p One thing you can do is look at whether the name has been rising, falling, or staying the same with regards to popularity. If a name is going up 100 spots every year, I'd stay away from it! I think I know what name you're talking about...checked to see what #153 is ;) and it isn't rising in popularity...looks like it's actually been slowly falling over the past five years so...use it!
What does the name Jaelyn mean?
Some people think it comes from the male name Jalen, which is a newly created name. And some people think it's just a combo of Jay and Lynn, which have the meanings "jay bird" and "lake".
Do you the name Jaelyn spelled Jaely,Jaylin,Jailynn,Jaelynn,Jailin,Jailyn,or J'lyn
Oh my. My mom has a friend named Jaye-Lynn. I really don't think any of the spellings are particularly attractive :/ I guess the ones that look to most natural to me are Jaelyn or Jae-Lynn because I'm used to seeing my siser's name, which is similar. (Used to be Shaelyn, but she changed the spelling to Shae-Lynn).
I know that classic names aren't necessarily your style, but I plan on naming my children Joseph and Caroline. What do you think?
I love a lot of classic names, especially for girls. I LOVE Caroline but I don't really like Joseph.
Whats an anagram name?
Anagrams are names that have the same letters in them, but in a different order. Sometimes twins get named anagram names, like Aidan and Nadia.
All meaning aside, I love the sound of "Danger". Would that be awful to name my son?
Yes. How about Dane?

Do you like these names? Rhoslyn, Archer, Elspeth, Siobhan, and Caerwyn
Rhoslyn - I dislike this spelling. I prefer Rosalyn...pronounced the same way.
Archer - sounds pretty cool
Elspeth - cute
Siobhan - not a fan of this one..don't like the look or sound of it really.
Caerwyn - I think it sounds and looks a little feminine for a boy name.
Do you like the name Dakota better for a boy or a girl?
I really liked it for a boy when I was younger...before Dakota Fanning. Now I pretty much see it as a girl's name.
do you like the name Paris? girl or boy? there's Paris Hilton, and then Paris from Romeo & Juliet....
No I don't really like it. It's all girl to me...I think of Paris Hilton right away.
what do you think of the name Parvati? (haha from Survivor)
I kinda like it, and I like her! But it sucks that she gets called 'poverty' so much.
Would you rather have a baby girl or boy and why?
I've always wanted a girl. I don't know why. I guess I've always been a girl's girl. I loved playing with my sister and my girl cousins when I was little, and I never had any friends that were boys. I'm getting better about it though - I used to NOT want a boy...but now I know I'll be thrilled with either...even though I would still pick a girl if I had the choice ;)
so the anastasia ruby is out of the picture now?
Yeah...I realized how much my husband was settling with that one to make me happy, and that's not what I want. I want us both to LOVE the names we choose.
Do you like Aden, Aiden, Adan, Aidan, Aadan, Ayden, Aydan, Aydin, Aedan, or Aidyn
lol None of the above. If I had to pick, then Aidan.
What do you think of the name Zoey? What are nice middle names to go with Zoey?
I'm not a big fan of it but it's okay...I much prefer it spelled Zoe. Zoey sounds kind of funny with a classic middle name, so maybe something trendier like: Zoey Alexa, Zoe Alyssa, Zoe Brooklyn...
What do you think of the name Veda?
Totally makes me think of the Vada character in the movie "My Girl". It's not awful, but I don't particularly like it.
Could you elaborate on the name Alejandro? Also, I have this cool baby site... www.babydow.com, I've heard it's tons of fun! (:
Cool I'll check it out. About Alejandro...I can't really picture it on a little kid. But I think it's a fine name for a Spanish person. Not one of my favourite Spanish names but it's okay.
Are there any american names you like? I checked (babynames.com) and most of the ones I found are rather yuck. (And ever notice you don't find the catagory of canadian names?)
Yeah most are recently-created, which I don't like. There are some that I like though, like Aleah & Vivica.
I chose the name Jude. now,i have to find a good middle name...can you please tell me what do you think of these combinations and give a rate? Jude Caleb Jude Skyler Jude Sebastian Jude Shannon Jude Ryder Jude Heathcliff Jude Blake Jude Carson
Jade Caleb - nice
Jude Skyler - I'd stay away from Skyler because it's being used so much for girls now.
Jude Sebastian - fabulous! My fav from this list by far.
Jude Shannon - too feminine
Jude Ryder - sounds like someone that rides Judes (whatever that would be)...a jude rider! Ryder's a hard one to put in a middle name position.
Jude Heathcliff - very eye-catching...but I'm not a fan of Heathcliff.
Jude Blake - too choppy
Jude Carson - very nice
